Well, that was the most convenient nap I've ever taken.

[Oliver doesn't think he's ever going to be fully used to the strange things that happen here. Like falling asleep one night and waking up three weeks later like it's no big deal. He's been here long enough to know that it happens and that there's no real explanation for it and there's really no point in dwelling on it.

He misses the island now more than ever, he realizes, as he leans against the railing on the Barge's deck. Lian Yu had its own set of issues and oddities, he'll admit that, but if it's a straight choice between hellboat or an island in the North Pacific, it's not hard to figure which one he'd choose. If it were a choice between Starling City and the island, he can't honestly say he'd actually want to go back home either.

But anyway, Mr. Queen is just brooding at the stars, if interrupting his thoughts catches your fancy.]

[That's what almost real friends do, Oliver. And okay, maybe she looks a little sheepish now because the last time she was on the network? She wasn't exactly alone, and now she knows he saw that.]

The rest isn't that interesting. I spent the last five years on shipwrecked on an island.

Tim and I never got around to exactly why I'm here. [Though, he could guess. But he's not about to tell a kid that he just met that he puts arrows in people for a living.]

[He knows there's certain things that happen on the ship that can and will break a person. He hopes (odd, isn't it? To hope again) that it won't need the same level of persuasion for Oliver.

Bruce might not be a great example, but he can least serve as a warning.]

Neither have I. It is the opposite of logical.

Yet, I have come to find that it tends to apply more in a place like this than any attempts at the latter.

My social skills took a real hit being stranded on a deserted island. [For someone who keeps a lot of things close to the vest, he's almost annoyingly honest about other things. Although he's always been kind of an asshole.]

[Hard as she tries to remember, she doesn't think the Oliver Queen she knew had anything to do with shipwrecks or being a zombie. It must be like Kon, same name and similar background, but not really the same person.

So she just shrugs one shoulder because why dwell on something that doesn't apply to him?]
